Tim is excited to return to Ranger after 7 years involvement in various other performance cruising yachts (including two other J class yachts) He was born and raised in Auckland, where he grew up competitively sailing and cruising the Hauraki Gulf. Since then he has amassing 12 years large yacht crewing experience and has recently made the leap to a Captains role. He is excited to be asked back to a programme with so much nostalgia and fond memories and looks forward to completing successful regattas and cruising the world.
Simon returns to Ranger after 4 years involvement in the build and development of a new J Class yacht. Simon initially started his yachting career on Ranger after working as a rigger based in the UK focusing on around the world race yachts and new build commissioning. Prior to this he graduated from the University of Plymouth Marine Studies (Ocean Yachting) BSc. With an exciting schedule ahead, he is very pleased to be a part of the Ranger programme again.
Matt’s passion for sailing and racing began while at University in Southampton, after initially qualifying professionally Matt started out working on expedition yachts, completing a trip to the Magnetic South Pole, but soon transitioned to a grander side of the industry. Although Matt has been working on yachts for the past 7 years, he recently took a brief break to travel throughout South East Asia and has come back to fulfill a lifelong dream to work on a J class yacht.

Born in Auckland, New Zealand and raised on the Gold Coast of Australia, Jamee grew up on the water and thoroughly enjoys swimming, wakeboarding and sailing. With a background in Beauty and Fashion Marketing and PR, Jamee has a passion for travel, photography and cooking. Having travelled widely and completed cooking classes from New York to Bali and beyond, Jamee joined Ranger in January 2015 to assist the interior department and cook for crew.

Tracy was born in Berkshire, England. She discovered sailing in the Mediterranean where she joined a 92ft yacht for over 2 years before going to New Zealand to set up a provisioning business for the two America Cups that were held there. She then joined a large modern classic racing in Antigua, the Tall Ships Race and also the Transatlantic Challenge until joining Ranger in June 2007.
Kurt was born and raised on the Gold Coast, Australia. Kurt grew up surfing and competitively sailing in the waters off the Queensland coast and has years of experience in industrial abseiling and rigging. Kurt is a qualified Carpenter and Licensed Builder and has worked on high-end modern properties as well as classic estate builds. Having travelled extensively throughout Asia, North and Central America, Kurt is looking forward to joining Rangers exciting programme.
Gintas has been racing and maintaining sailing yachts since he was 7 years old. His passion for yachting has introduced him to a lifestyle and career spent on the ocean. He has varied and interesting sailing career onboard racing and cruising yachts in positions from Deckhand to Skipper. Gintas brings excellent skills from his 50,000 ocean miles and looks forward to applying these to the Ranger.
